Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Notepet mobile app for iOS and Android, the website at notepet.io, and the Notepet web app (together, the “Service”), operated by Notepet (“Notepet”, “we”, “us”).

1. Acceptance and scope

By accessing or using any part of the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service, or older where your local law requires a higher minimum age. You are responsible for your account, your credentials, and for keeping the information you provide accurate. You may start with an anonymous (guest) account; if you do not upgrade a guest account to a permanent account, your data may be lost and cannot be recovered.

3. Not veterinary advice — medical disclaimer

Notepet is a record-keeping and reminder tool, not a source of veterinary advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a licensed veterinarian for any decision about your pet’s health, and never rely on the app in an emergency. Reminders and dose calculations are best-effort and not guaranteed — notification delivery can fail or be delayed, so always verify dosages against your veterinarian’s instructions and the product label. Notepet is not liable for any health outcome arising from your use of, or reliance on, the Service.

4. License to use Notepet

We grant you a limited, revocable, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the Service for your personal, non-commercial pet care. You may not reverse engineer, decompile, copy (except as the Service normally allows), resell, scrape, or attempt to circumvent any limits or security of the Service.

5. Your content and data

You retain ownership of the pet and health data you enter. You grant Notepet a license to host, process, store, and sync that data solely to provide the Service. You are responsible for the data you share into groups and for any third-party contact details you store, and you confirm you have the right to store and share them.

6. Subscriptions and payments (Notepet Plus)

Notepet Plus is a paid subscription billed through Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). Your subscription automatically renews for the same period at the then-current price unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. The subscription unlocks the Notepet Plus features described in the app. You can manage or cancel your subscription, and review the price and billing period, in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Refunds are governed by the store’s policy. Entitlements are managed through RevenueCat. Free-tier limits may change with reasonable notice.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service for any unlawful purpose, to abuse or harass other users, to interfere with or disrupt the Service, or to gain unauthorized access to any account, system, or data.

8. Service availability and changes

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature at any time.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, availability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. This includes, without limitation, the medical disclaimer in Section 3.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Notepet and its suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of or inability to use the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Notepet harmless from any claim or demand arising out of your content, the data you share into groups, the third-party contact details you store, your violation of these Terms, or your misuse of the Service.

12. App-store terms (Apple and Google)

The following apply to your use of the app obtained through the Apple App Store, in addition to the rest of these Terms:

These Terms are between you and Notepet only, and not with Apple or Google.
Notepet, not Apple or Google, is solely responsible for the app and its content, and for providing any maintenance and support.
Notepet, not the store, is responsible for any product warranties and for addressing any claims relating to the app, including product-liability, regulatory, and intellectual-property-infringement claims.
Your license to use the app is non-transferable and limited to use on an Apple-branded device that you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Usage Rules.
You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and, upon your acceptance, have the right to enforce these Terms against you.

13. Termination

You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms. The effect of termination on your data is described in the Privacy Policy under data retention and deletion.

14. Changes to these terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. For material changes we will surface a notice in the app or on the website rather than relying on silent acceptance. Your continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the current version.

15. General

If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the rest remain in effect. These Terms are the entire agreement between you and Notepet regarding the Service. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them. Neither party is liable for failures caused by events beyond its reasonable control.

16. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, and you submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.
